The Price of Saving 2800

At a rural wedding feast, Liu Hao questions the 2,800 yuan fee charged by Chen Shu, the wedding master of ceremonies. He argues that the coordination work can be split among volunteers and decides to host his own wedding without hiring a professional planner. The early preparations go smoothly with everyone assigned clear roles, but on the big day chaos erupts: the bridal car arrives early, firecrackers misfire, guests flood in beyond expectations, and the head table seating goes wrong. Each person tries to stick to their task, yet everything falls apart, leaving Liu Hao overwhelmed. Afterward, when he tallies the costs, the supposed savings of 2,800 are completely erased by extra expenses and social risks. Liu Hao finally understands that a master of ceremonies is not just physical labor—they anticipate risks, balance relationships, and manage unexpected situations. Letting go of his prejudice, he reconciles with Chen Shu.
