Wolf Dad, Don't Eat Me

An orphaned wolf, Ashes, finds a husky puppy, Little Husky, during a snowstorm. Instead of becoming prey, Little Husky enters Ashes' cold, closed-off life through a gentle, puppy-like 'dad.' Though Ashes claims 'fatten you up first,' he repeatedly shields Little Husky from the wind, hunts for food, gets injured, and fights off wolf packs. As memories of dog tags, abandoned campsites, and sled dog teams surface, Little Husky gradually realizes he's not a wolf, and Ashes hides painful secrets related to his past.
