A House of Smoke and Fire, Two Different Hearts

For a year, Lin Wan cooked for her roommates, earning nothing and often paying out of pocket herself. But when newcomer Zhou Ke promised free meals in exchange for her boyfriend's favor, Lin Wan was forced to issue refunds and stop cooking altogether. The free food quickly turned into expensive, low-quality meals; the roommates ran errands, took abuse, and even suffered stomach issues before realizing they'd been scammed. Facing everyone's pleas to stay, Lin Wan revealed her bills to prove her innocence, decisively moved out, and set up her own stall. When Zhou Ke stole her recipes to lure customers, Lin Wan exposed her publicly and recovered the refunds. After leaving behind draining relationships, Lin Wan finally found income, friends, and a life that truly belonged to her.
