[S2] Villain in Hand

After New Year's, Qi Nan and Xia Ningqi grow ever closer through their adjoining homes, campus encounters, and family banquets. Faced with her near-uncontrollable confession, Qi Nan keeps pulling back, afraid he could leave this world at any moment. Then Xia Ningqi is attacked, Qi Nan's rented room is destroyed, and Grandma passes away—and he finally refuses to leave any more regrets behind, traveling all the way to Jinmai Town to help her through her grief. The two then join a summer volunteer program, where amid rumors, romantic rivals, and peril in the mountains, they keep reaffirming their bond, their relationship shifting from dangerous dependence to mutual protection.
